A new lively hot-spot at the heart of Paris La Défense
A next generation office offer, a hotel open day and night, fully glazed and welcoming halls, restaurants, a convenience store...
The Sisters Towers offer a “new art of working” in offices as well as a new way of living for tourists and executives staying in La Défense. Their unique architecture is designed by Christian de Portzamparc, and offers exceptional amenities open day and night.
This mixed-used dimension is evenly found in the program of the hotel: in complement to its 273 rooms, 36 serviced apartments add to the diversified room offer.
Immediate connexion to improved public transports
A comprehensive transportation system that will be reinforced by EOLE and the Grand Paris Express
Furthermore being a key hub of the Grand Paris project, La Défense will see its public transport connectivity widen with the arrival of EOLE (westwards extension of the RER E) and, later, the new Métro line 15, thus reducing car traffic.
Soft mobility is not left out: the tower users benefit from bike storage rooms (141 spaces in the office tower and 12 spaces in the hotel tower).
A strong urban integration
Maintaining of the Carpeaux footbridge (during the construction phase and after the project delivery) and redevelopment of public spaces in front of the towers.
Located in a strategic spot in Paris La Défense, close to “Le Faubourg de l'Arche” neighbourhood in Courbevoie, the Sisters Towers are designed to have a minimal footprint on the public area.
Moreover, the Carpeaux footbridge will remain unchanged, after completion of the project as well as during construction works (with appropriated protective equipment). This limited ground-level footprint enables EPADESA to competely reorganize the public space, in particular “Place Carpeaux”.
Exceptional outdoor areas and ubiquitous vegetation
Developed by Unibail-Rodamco, the Sisters Towers will be one of the few buildings in La Défense to offer a multitude of green outdoor areas.
The landings of the office floors will open up directly onto loggias accessible from one floor out of two. These loggias offer a green setting for new experiences with direct access to outside air: business lunch with clients, meetings with colleagues or convivial moments…
The terraces on the bridge allow taking advantage even more of the sun and the breathtaking views over La Défense. Their lush vegetation turns them into hanging gardens, 100 meters above the ground.
Lastly, a veranda in the lower levels of the office tower sets an original scenery for the company restaurant.
Deck, an exclusive setting
Like the most prestigious towers abroad, the Sisters Towers bring to La Défense a unique combination of exceptional equipment for all audiences (hotel guests, offices employees as well as for all visitors), all providing exceptional views over La Défense.
Office spaces dedicated to new ways of working and meeting
Sisters impulse new life in today’s increasingly international and nomad work environment : the office floors in Tower 1 are designed for the wellbeing of employees according to New Art of working® guidelines developed by Unibail-Rodamco. They can be adapted to all work organizations: private offices, open spaces, flex offices, etc.
The Business Center is available to the hotel’s customers to work or hold meetings, to the companies of the offices tower and to all company or organization looking for an exceptional setting to hold a general meeting, a conference or a seminar.
The Ball Room with its exceptional equipment and grand ceiling height, adapts to every event. It is equipped for catering, boasts retractable stands, is suited for projections and also for receptions. In this unique venue, events carry a real signature and create long-lasting bonds between the guests.
The 150-seat auditorium is reserved for companies of the offices tower.
Conviviality from the bottom to the top of the towers
Company restaurants located in the lower floors of the office tower can access a diversified and innovative offer: cafétéria, kiosk, scramble and a branded offer. A convenience store is open to meet the employees' daily needs.
Two environmentally responsible sisters
The Sisters Towers aim at environmental excellence throughout their life cycle (design, construction, operation). They aim at the highest levels of certification of the market:
Furthermore, the project will comply with the “Better places 2030” CSR approach presented in September 2016 by the Unibail-Rodamco group, aiming to significantly reduce the carbon footprint linked to the construction and operation of the buildings.
A technical feat combined with the latest technology developments
The two towers represent a major civil engineering achievement as the building’s structure supports very high loads in its lower part, given the sleek profile of the two towers and the bridge connecting them.
In addition, latest technological standards will be developed on the project during the construction phase (materials…) as well as with the services provided (smartapp…)
Two towers integrated in the skyline of Paris La Défense: a limited visual impact for residents
The heights of the Sisters Towers are limited to 219 and 121 meters from slab level. To design them, architect Christian de Portzamparc focused on two objectives:
1. A strong urban integration with buildings in close proximity while fully respecting “distance” rules required around the historical Axis of Paris – La Défense;
2. A respect for nearby architectural works (CNIT, Grande Arche of La Défense) while proposing a resolutely contemporary architecture.
